One of Chester's most stylish bars and restaurants the Blackhouse Grill in Newgate Street, hosted the Cheshire WITCHES inaugural fundraising lunch 'A Summer Lovin You' on Wednesday 17th June. Although the sun failed to shine outside, the summer themed lunch made up for the lack of summer rays as almost seventy of Chester's finest ladies came out to support the newly formed Cheshire WITCHES. The WITCHES - Women in Touch with Claire House - are a group of ladies living and working in and around the Chester area who have pledged to support Claire House Children's Hospice during it's 10th Birthday year in 2009, and then on an ongoing basis following the 10th birthday celebrations. Cheshire Witches are aiming to recruit as many members as possible across the Chester and Cheshire area to maximise the amount they raise for Claire House Children's Hospice.
Zoe Bock, Events Organiser for Cheshire Witches said "We are a organisation of business & professional ladies who have volunteered our time and effort into raising money for Claire House Childrens' Hospice. We get together once a month to organise events and functions around the Cheshire area. Our aim is to raise awareness about the sick children and their families to help raise as much money as we possibly can, to support them through their very difficult time. We hope to raise £15,000 by the end of 2009, with lots more events in the pipe line and another Blackhouse Grill lunch in the Autumn. We are committed to helping to make local children's lives better at a time when they, and their families, need it most"..
'A Summer Lovin You' showcased some of the summer season's must have purchases including Haiviana swarovski crystal flip flops, worn by many of the WAGS and celebrities (www.crystalflipflops.co.uk), summer sarongs and kaftans (Julie Kaye Sarongs), summer fashion from De Keyser, stunning jewellery from Chique jewellers, summer make-up from DIOR at Browns of Chester, and hair design from the Francesco Group including demonstrations from GHD experts and absolutely fantastic flowers from Wirral based Posh Tops.and photography from Dave Williams.
Carolyn Hughes (CHPR) PR Partner for the Blackhouse Grill said "We are delighted at the Blackhouse Grill to host the first Cheshire Witches ladies lunch. The ladies enjoyed summer cocktails along with a sumptuous three course lunch, whilst perusing a host of stands which would prepare you for summer. The ladies have a clear vision to support Claire House during the coming year and the Blackhouse Grill is delighted to have hosted the Cheshire Witches first lunch and we are looking forward to working with them again in the autumn".
'A Summer Lovin You' raised in excess of £1,000 for Claire House, but more importantly has established the Cheshire WITCHES as a committed supporter of Claire House.

Stylish bar and restaurant GUSTO in Telegraph Road, Heswall, was the venue for the latest Wirral Witches (Women in Touch with Claire House) charity luncheon this week.
Almost 100 of the Wirral's most stylish ladies turned out to join the Witches to help raise much needed funds for Claire House Children's Hospice. The event was hosted by City Talk's Kim Hughes and party organisers to the stars, Revellers World Events, spoke about their business and some of the amazing parties they have organised over the years, including Barbara Windsors birthday party, the Rooney wedding, and a host of premiership players weddings and events.
Yvonne and Julie from Revellers told some extremely funny tales about obstacles that they have had to overcome through the years to make their events the most talked about in the business.
The event was supported by Hallmark Jewellers of Heswall, who sponsored the event and provided Claire House charms. A fantastic crowd of ladies, great food and wine, a wonderful host and inspirational speakers, ensured that the Witches and their guests had a very enjoyable afternoon at GUSTO Heswall.
