Why Diamonds are a girl's best friend

Last week I think I really did find heaven on earth…. Every lady LOVES diamonds, precious metals and exotic stones - last week I found them ALL UNDER ONE ROOF…

Stylish jewellers David M. Robinson (my client!) invited me to join them at the Baselworld watch and jewellery exhibition in Basel, Switzerland.

I spent much of the 24 hours I was in Switzerland speechless and breathless as I marvelled some of the most amazing creations in the world…

OK so maybe not every piece was one I would have worn, but you still had to marvel at the design, the stones and the sheer genius that was on display… I have genuinely not seen such beauty, creativity and extravagance in all of my life.

Diamonds, pearls and precious and semi precious stones were plentiful – and all of the major watch brands were on display.

The produce on display was one thing, but the effort, and cost, that had gone into creating some amazing display stands really did leave me somewhat breathless!

The highlight of the trip for me (apart from my stay on the lovely boat, Bellisima) was being able to join our amazing designer Vix Smith on a meeting to develop some of her fantastic new collections.

The attention to detail and creativity had to be seen to be believed. To see her sketches develop into truly amazing pieces of jewellery was a real priviledge ……. Diamonds…. Really ARE a girls best friend!!!
