Stylish jeweller David M. Robinson held a drinks reception at the new Panoramic Restaurant on the 34th floor of West Tower, to showcase two fabulous new collections.

Lunar, heavenly intertwining strands of 18ct gold set with diamonds, and Symphony, 18ct gold with diamonds in a distinctive swirl setting.

David M. Robinson are celebrating 40 years in business this year and they displayed various pieces from the stunning Yellow Box Collection. Their talented in-house designer, Vix Smith, was on hand to talk people through the designs from conception through to the finished article.

Barbara Daley hosted a glamorous launch party to celebrate the opening of her new salon last week.

The impressive venue situated in the heart of the Northwestern Halls in Lime Street was opened by Liverpool’s own ‘Real Woman’ Colleen McLoughlin.

The red carpet oozed glitz and glamour and the guests were greeted by stilt-walking models in rollers and champagne.

The party continued as the invited ladies made their way to Alma de Cuba for more champagne cocktails.

Congratulations to Barbara and the team, the new site is a fitting tribute to a Liverpool business in a very important year for the City.

Sex and the City might be a distant memory, but the Manhattan girls were instrumental in bringing us the ‘Baby Shower’.

Sheree Murphy held her own glamorous baby shower recently for 70 friends and family at 60 Hope Street to celebrate the impending arrival of her little girl.

Coleen McLoughlin and Alex Curran joined Sheree’s friends from Emmerdale and other guests for a super-stylish pre-baby party.

Drag queen Laquisha Jonz organised party games including ‘guess the size of Sheree’s bump’ and pass the parcel, which provided the biggest laugh of the afternoon as Alex Curran (who has THE most perfectly gorgeous teeth) won the Liverpool Dental Spa Teeth Whitening prize – Alex did see the funny side!

Hundreds of stunning flowers if fantastic floral arrangements, pink champagne and traditional afternoon tea provided the perfect setting for some of the cities most stylist ladies. For full story see this week’s OK magazine.

I have worked with the Living Room since we opened the bar and restaurant in 2000. At that time we were not blessed with the level and quality of the fabulous bars and restaurants that we have to choose from today.

After nearly 8 years we felt as if we wanted a little change, enough for it for feel fresher and update it a little, yet subtle enough to ensure that the concept of the Living Room remains the same…. I have to say, I am totally useless when it comes to mood boards and plans – and although I liked the ones I saw, I was still quite nervous as to what the final result would be.

On Friday we had a ‘House Warming’ and I have to say I really like the way it has turned out. The designer has ensured that we have retained the ‘Living Room’ feel, but with an updated twist!
