Donna Mackenzie launched her new 'Beauty Spa' this week, located directly above Christopher Boyton hair salon on Telegraph Road, Heswall.

The night was a roaring success with over 100 clients attending to join the celebrations. The evening was an ideal opportunity for people to view the newly renovated beauty rooms, browse the treatments available and to take advantage of exclusive offers available for both Beauty and Hair services on the night.

Last week saw the Industry screening of a trailer for a new comedy drama tv series created by Dean Sullivan called 'Terry cross the Mersey'.

The ten minute trailer, written and directed by Dean, was produced by Naked Poet Productions and starred Lewis Emerick, Philip Olivier, Suzanne Collins and Paul Barber, tells the story of a man with two wives, two lives and too much to lose.

Acclaimed Liverpool lifestyle store Microzine has joined forces with renowned 'Jaws' movie fan, archivist and collector, Edward McCormack to launch 'Jaws - The Exhibition' on the evening of July 31st 2008.

A former moderator of the Jawsmovie.com forum, Edward now runs the website jawsmoviearchives.com and is a site administrator on 'The Jaws Board' forum, as well as cultivating one of the most extensive and wide-ranging collections of 'Jaws' memorabilia worldwide, ranging from original movie posters to actual movie props and even the odd severed limb....

A prominent local and international figure on the 'Jaws' event scene, veteran of 'JAWSFEST 05' and organiser of the first official UK Jaws fan meet in 2007, Edward is understandingly thrilled at the chance to team up with Microzine, and the two have collaborated to produce a new range of limited and exclusive merchandise.

Guests filled the new Contemporary Urban Centre on Friday evening as Brouhaha International launched its annual arts festival.

Party-goers were given a sneak preview of some of the 180 performers from across the globe who will be entertaining Merseyside during the three-week-long festival which culminates in the UK's second biggest carnival on August 2 at Liverpool's Prince's Park.

Moving between the stylish rooms of the converted warehouse, the carnival-loving crowd enjoyed delicious nibbles and wine during non-stop entertainment.

The Royal Court Theatre has been transformed into a farmers fireld for the only outdoor festival to take place indoors!

Jim Cartwright, author of Two and Little Voice, has created a play set which will take you back to the 1960s - for the latest production '8 miles high'.

The show is an ensemble piece with a multi talented team of actor/musicians including: Eithne Browne, Paul Broughton, Keith Carter, Zita Frith, Rosie Jenkins, James Lindsay, Jake Norton, Iwan Rheon, Andrew Schofield, Francis Tucker and Tim Whitnall.

Last week Bridesworld on County Road celebrated two historic milestones.

On the anniversary of their 25th year of trading owner Marie Sheridan officially handed over the business to daughter Jenny.

'Bridesworld by Jenny', was launched with a stunning brand new dazzling couture collection and a complete mens hire range. Bridesworld by Jenny also launched their substantial 2009 range of bridal and bridesmaid gowns along with full range of accessories including bridal veils and head dresses.

As Bridesworld entered its third generation Jenny Sheridan said that she was delighted to be in a position to take forward what her mother and grandmother have built up.

Alex Curran and football star husband Steven Gerrard showed off their tans from their recent trip to Miami at the star-studded launch of The Vincent Hotel, this week.

Days after returning from the US, where they celebrated their first wedding anniversary, the couple were spotted partying at the funky new boutique hotel in their home town of Southport, near Liverpool.

Guests were entertained by rising soul singer Nate James, who is rumoured to be dating Nancy Dell'Olio, as well as performances from the Pretty Dam Hot burlesque dance troupe, fire eaters, streets dancers and stilt walkers.
The £15million hotel, which is owned by entrepreneur Paul Adams, is proving a huge hit with celebrities and is fully booked ahead of the MTV Europe music awards taking place in Liverpool in November and the Open Golf Championship, in nearby Birkdale, later this month.

Known for their love of both art and business, Beetham Organisation unveiled its latest addition to the collection - a five meter high sculpture called Skyline.

Difficult to miss, Skyline sits majestically at the foot of Beetham HQ on King Edward Street and marks the completion of the company's King Edward St-Brook St-Old Hall St development.

A string quartet from Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall accompanied guests including artist Oliver Barratt - creator of Skyline as well as Chairman of Beetham Orgnization, Hugh Frost and his wife, Cathy.
